General Policy
We strive to create a seamless booking experience for both hosts and entertainers. Our refund policy ensures fairness and transparency for all parties involved.
Where Refunds Apply
Refunds are applicable under the following circumstances:
- REFUNDS ON EVENT CANCELLATION BY HOSTS: If a host cancels a confirmed booking before the performance date, the entertainer may be entitled to a partial or full refund, depending on the cancellation timeframe.
- REFUNDS ON EVENT CANCELLATION BY ENTERTAINERS: If an Entertainer cancels a booking before the event, their Host will automatically receive a full refund. If an Entertainer cancels a booking within 72 hours before the event, we will also help the host find a similar entertainer/entertainment subject to availability at comparable pricing.
- ENTERTAINER NO-SHOW: If an entertainer fails to appear for a booked performance, the host is eligible for a full refund.
- EVENT CANCELLATION DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES: If an event is cancelled due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions), refunds will be subject to review on a case-by-case basis.
- FAILURE TO MEET AGREED TERMS / BREACH OF CONTRACT: If an entertainer does not meet the agreed-upon gig/performance conditions, a partial refund may be issued at MyGigSpot's discretion.
Non-Refundable Situations
- HOST-INITIATED LAST-MINUTE CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the event are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the entertainer's terms.
- HOST DISSATISFACTION WITH THE PERFORMANCE: Refunds will not be granted based on subjective dissatisfaction with an entertainer's performance unless a breach of contract and/or pre-agreed performance terms are determined.
- TECHNICAL ISSUES BEYOND PLATFORM CONTROL: MyGigSpot is not responsible for internet failures, venue-related problems, or other external disruptions affecting the event.
Refund Process
To request assistance with a booking or a refund, the Host must contact us and Refund requests must be submitted within 72 hours of the scheduled event.
- The MyGigSpot team will review each request and communicate the outcome within 10 business days.
- Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method within 14 business days.
Dispute Resolution
Disputes may be resolved based on our Terms of Service, the Gig Performance Agreement and any additional agreed terms as long as proof of these terms is provided.
If necessary, additional evidence (e.g., communication logs, and proof of performance) may be required to process refunds.
In disputes, MyGigSpot may mediate between the host and entertainer, if necessary, to find a fair resolution.
Amendments to the Policy
MyGigSpot reserves the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes.
